I have spent a lifetime in music composition, performance and instrumentation, with my material being performed by international stars of screen, stage and recordings. Whether you're looking to learn new instrument, improve on one you already know, or explore the mysteries of songwriting, I can help you attain your dreams.
I love to uncover and help nurture the talent that is hidden inside each student. I have helped young songwriters find their voice – literally – and then guided them to well-constructed songs. I encourage people of all ages to pick up instruments and coax the secrets of sound out of them. Even if only for the satisfaction it can give. If you're a pro, so much the better!
As a child and youth I took piano, clarinet, drums, and sang in numerous choirs. I performed in theatrical productions and in movies, and also had my own band at a young age. When I was 16 my parents bought me a guitar and I pounced on that instrument and played it round the clock. Professionally I have been the musical director and primary composer for dozens of stage and television shows and had my work performed by Bette Midler, Patti Lupone and many others.

Technique and theory are fine but music is a natural language and I like to find out first where a student is now in the magical journey of learning to play with that language. Then I discover through conversation and playfulness what each student's strengths and weaknesses are and help them to realize their wishes.
