About Emily
Hi there! I'm Emily, I am a professional designer and fine artist with my Batchelors of Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD.) I specialize in painting, textiles, and illustration. Nine to five, I am an associate designer for Valdese Weavers, (yay!) and have worked as a design intern for Ralph Lauren Collection. I'm a skilled portrait artist, and schrewd (yet friendly!) Critic. My formal design education has given me ability to discern great compositions, and to challenge conceptual projects. I've taught workshops at RISD, collaborated with Todd Oldham, and worked as a Teachers Assistant in the college, in addition to working in the admissions office as a tour guide (see resume for full background.)
My passion is critique and I will help you get your portfolio in tip-top shape whether you want to take your paintings from mediocre coffee shop artwork to SOLD, If you want a "five" in AP art, or If you want to go to a top art school and get your portfolio in shape, I'll help you put your best foot forward!
