About Olivia
I am a vegetarian chef who is inspired to cook by enthusiasm and love for great food. My fondest childhood memories involve the flavors of my family’s kitchen and our diverse cooking traditions. I grew up in the North of Italy (Milan), spent greater part of my childhood traveling in Italy, Europe, Africa and Asia but learned the fundamental cooking skills in the kitchen of my grandmother Regina (Queen). A eccentric and unusual woman who was able to create ambrosial feasts.
I teach plant based cooking. Occasionally, and on request, can add pescatarian sessions.
Eating is a serious matter in Italy, and I am Italian. Cooking and food are among the most eloquent expressions of Italian culture, revealing our country’s history and traditions. Like any other form of art, cooking is based on measurements and proportions, on the balance and fusion of different elements. Like any living art, it combines ancient traditions with contemporary innovation and thus evolves constantly. Although authentic Italian dishes are often prepared with but a few humble ingredients, what makes our dishes so tasty and delicious is the fact that, over the centuries, we have discovered how to achieve a perfect mix of flavors.
And I love to share my passion and and enthusiasm for good vegetarian food and cooking...
