About Ernest
I have 13 years of classroom teaching experience, working with students in grade 7-12. In addition, I have a B.A. in Biochemistry and a Ph.D. in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. Teaching and science are my passions and making science relatable, fun, and applicable to real life is the approach I take to helping students learn and understand concepts.
Again, I have over 13 yrs of teaching experience in Independent schools. I have taught general science, Microbiology, Forensics, Biology, AP Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, as well as experience as a Science Department Chair and Dean of Students.

In addition, I try to determine how the student prefers to receive information (e.g. visually). This helps me frame the way present information to the student and adds to the level of personalization that can be provided.
