About Justin
Kyokushin is a very intense full contact form of Karate create by Grand Master Mas Oyama in the 1950's. As the WKO Shinkyokushinkai PA Branch Representative, I am the only Kyokushin instructor approved by the WKO (World Karate Organizations) in the entire Philadelphia area. My training is quite rigorous and involves intense conditioning drills, learning the traditional Kyokushin techniques, katas, and sparring drills. Be prepared to learn the strongest Karate known to man and get tough!
Martial arts has played a major role in my life since I was 5 years old. This passion has followed me since childhood into adulthood and I enjoy helping to instill this passion in others through teaching. Beginning with ITF Taekwondo and practicing it for 8 years, I ultimately earned my 2nd Dan. After TKD I studied Isshin-Ryu Karate for 6 years and earned a 2nd Dan in that style as well. For the next few years I practiced Muay Thai and competed in amateur boxing including the 2014 Philadelphia Golden Gloves. Currently I practice and teach full contact WTF Taekwondo and as well actively compete in Kyokushin, a full contact/bare knuckle form of Karate.
