About Andrew
I first tutored in high school as a member of National Honors Society and Beta Club. In college, I taught in the Vertebrate Biology Laboratory and thoroughly enjoyed teaching others. I am moving onto graduate school at Youngstown State University where I will also be a teaching assistant for Anatomy and Physiology Laboratories.
I have received a B.S. in biological sciences from Clemson University. At Clemson, I conducted research for three years in four different laboratories, each focused on a different subfield of biology. I have also served as an undergraduate teaching assistant for the Vertebrate Biology Laboratory at Clemson University.

I generally like to start with knowing the student's background and their strengths and weaknesses, academically. Afterwards, moving into the content becomes much easier.
I have worked with students from high school sophomores to college juniors, both in tutoring and teaching. I generally have worked with students taking AP English classes and college biology courses.
I would look for someone who has experience, both in and out of the classroom, with the subject you are focusing on. Experience, be it in the laboratory or teaching the subject, confirms that your tutor will understand the material on a deeper level than memorization.
Recently, I was able to graduate from Clemson University despite the current circumstances (quarantine, online classes, etc.). I felt accomplished and am excited to move forward with my education at Youngstown State University where I will be researching biomechanics.
