About BARBARA
We offer exceptional training in CPR, AED (defibrillator) and First Aid through the American Heart Association. We are passionate about teaching life saving skills. Our classes are fun and informative. We use highly experienced instructors who are knowledgeable and know how to make it interesting. We have been in business for over 25 years. Our students often come back year after year.
While working as a therapist in a large hospital, i took my CPR training. I really enjoyed it and it seemed like something i would be good at. So i bought some manikins and opened up shop part time. Eventually i quit that job to pursue this business full time, and have never looked back.
For years, I worked as a therapist in psychiatric settings. That work helped me learn to relate to others in a clear, friendly and sensitive way. Later, when i received my EMT training and certification, my knowledge base and experience was broadened, which increased my confidence to teach.

We get "beginner" students (those who have never taken CPR before) frequently. We try to keep the atmosphere comfortable for all with humor and a friendly attitude. We pace the class so that beginners get adequate practice time. It helps that we have a very large supply of manikins.
Everyone! Old, young, disabled, healthy, healthcare professionals, parents, babysitters, you name it!
Try to hire a teacher who has some experience in teaching CPR skills. Make sure they grant official certification for completing the course, such as American Heart Association or Red Cross. And please, don't take an online course without any classroom/in person session. Make sure you will get an opportunity to practice skills on a manikin!
A woman contacted me because after taking my class, she ended up using her skills to save her husband in cardiac arrest. She was so grateful she had come to my class. Will never forgot that.
