About Dakota
FitSport Baseball Academy has on site batting/pitching cages, a lit practice field, indoor training, and offers baseball training in addition to speed, agility and strength. All workouts are designed for baseball specific training. We offer group and private training options.
I have always loved the game of baseball! I'm competitive by nature but also loved being part of a team. Coaching young players and watching them develop to their full potential is my passion.
I attended South Hills High and won a CIF championship in 2009, earning an athletic scholarship to Colorado Mesa University. I was a closer for four years and our team was NCAA Division II runners-up in 2014. Signed as a reliever to the Rockies, I spent two years in the minors where I had a 4-1 record and 35 Ks in 36 innings pitched.

There are very few people that have played at a top level and have the ability to translate their experience and knowledge in a way young athletes can understand and improve their skills. Dakota Behr does just that!
We were looking for a solid pitching coach for my 11 year-old. Dakota took the time to properly assess our son and made some immediate improvements in his form. I also like the emphasis on building arm strength with long term arm health, including proper arm rest for a good part of the year.
