Hi there! Thanks for checking out my profile
Let me introduce myself: I’m a former Software Development Engineer at Amazon and a proud alumnus of UBC. Recently, I decided to leave my role to pursue my passion for business and teaching.
I’ve been tutoring science, math, and coding-related subjects privately since I was in Grade 12. Along the way, I’ve gained hands-on experience as a software engineering co-op student at various companies. At university, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for multiple terms, helping students master data structures and algorithms, software engineering, and operating systems. I’ve also contributed to research in human-computer interaction, culminating in the publication of a research paper.
I’m fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, and I can teach in these languages comfortably. I'm also fine with teaching in Japanese too but I'm still far from fluent.

Teaching is incredibly rewarding to me, especially when I can help students experience "aha" moments with difficult concepts. My approach focuses on clarifying challenging ideas through a variety of examples, real-world applications, and promoting a deep theoretical understanding.
