About Richard
I have not taught formally and don't give out grades or diplomas. I'm simply a professional in the field of video production and enjoy teaching others who want to learn more about what they know and hopefully help them learn about things they don't know that they don't know yet.
Video production is not only technical knowledge but also the ability to work independently as well as with a team. It helps to know about the areas you may not do for a production so you can know better how what you are doing for that particular production can help the team achieve the best production possible. I can be as general or as specific as the student desires.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in News Cinematography and 30 plus years of professional experience in television news as a videographer with film and video and also corporate experience planning, writing, producing, directing, shooting and editing a wide variety to video productions. I also have designed two video studios and two edit suites plus created custom archival systems for all media to be used in future productions.
As a video professional, I first like to assess the student's current knowledge and understanding of the subject and also learn what they are interested in learning about the various areas of video production and what they are hoping to do with this additional education.
