About Didaskalos
I hold a Master's degree in Mathematics and have been teaching for over 20 years, including 16 years on Superprof (the original French version) where I have helped hundreds of students improve their grades and build confidence in math. I am a true Didaskalos — teaching is not just a job for me, but a vocation.
I work with students from middle school through college, as well as adult learners. I have experience preparing students for a wide range of exams including SAT, ACT, IB, AP Calculus, and the French Baccalaureate. I am fluent in both English and French and can teach in either language.
My approach is rooted in patience and clarity. I know that math can feel intimidating, and I take the time to understand each student's unique struggles and learning style. My students often tell me that I make complex topics feel simple and that they finally "get it" after years of frustration.
Beyond subject knowledge, I bring reliability, punctuality, and genuine care for each student's progress. I tailor every session to the individual and adjust my methods as needed to ensure consistent growth.

I'm Luca, a CPGE MPI student. I've been working with Laurent since 10th grade. Laurent is always smiling, punctual, and covers topics in depth. After 5 years of lessons with him, I can only recommend this experience!
We've been working with Didaskalos for over two years, beginning a third. The first thing to note is that he is very responsive and accommodating. He's also very reliable, he has never cancelled a lesson and has a wide availability.
We starting working with him because my son was struggling significantly with math and had an average of between 0 and 2 out of 20 (French system) when we met Didaskalos. The situation was obviously very dire when we hired him at the beginning of my son's 9th grade year. Suffice it to say that on the national exam (the Brevet) taken by all French schoolchildren at the end of 9th grade, my son scored 80 percent.
