About Chwa

I have taught a class of 20 international students for 10 weeks. The students have zero knowledge of Chinese, and at the end of the program, they can understand basic vocabulary such as numbers, greetings, and directions. They can speak to each other in Chinese after the program.

About the class

My teaching method is lecture slides about new vocabulary and involves speaking and writing practice after teaching. If we are in a 5, 5 of you will speak with each other with the keywords I taught earlier. If we are a 1-2-1 class, I'll practice that with you and make sure you improve fast!

I have learned so much in my Chinese classes with Xandy Lao Shi. She has her own amazing way of breaking things down so that they are understandable and always keep things light and fun. She is a very thoughtful teacher who puts a lot of thought into how she presents the material. She was very patient with her students and always encourage us to try. I would highly recommend her if anyone is interested in learning Chinese.
