About Charlotte
French was my first language (we lived in Southern France until I was six), and my parents and I still speak French at home. I also read in French regularly. I taught some friends basics informally throughout high-school, and then during my second year of college I got a Teaching Assistant job for Advanced French. I organized and taught a weekly tutorial and helped grading tests and papers. Moreover I've learned Spanish, German, and Russian in immersion and in classroom settings, so I really know what it's like taking on a new language.

I'm usually more conversation-based and like to incorporate games and texts into every lesson. I have a lot of experience learning new languages and believe that the best way of truly ingraining one in your brain is by immersing yourself in an activity to the point that the language becomes an automatic tool. I do also have experience teaching basic grammar, and usually blend the two approaches. I have resources of varying levels, but would probably best suit intermediate to advanced speakers. In any case, I'm very flexible and would gladly discuss possible plans beforehand, and adjust according to how we're doing. I also have pre-formed lesson plans from my experience teaching in college. Moreover I still have family in France, visit regularly, and am planning to move there, and very happily incorporate as much of the culture as I can (from classic films and literature to niche comic books and general pop culture).
