About Dr Jordan

I’m a molecular biologist and biochemist with a PhD from the University of Cambridge, and I have published research in journals such as Nature and Science. Alongside my work as a researcher, I have several years’ experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level students, helping them build confidence and achieve their target grades. I enjoy teaching and explaining science in a way that makes it clear and manageable, no matter how challenging the topic seems at first. My approach is supportive, exam-focused, and tailored to each student’s learning style — whether that means step-by-step explanations, practice with past papers, or targeted revision strategies.

About the class

I focus on preparing you for exams the smart way. Drawing on my experience of setting and marking exams, I know how to spot what examiners are really looking for and how to approach questions to get the best marks. We’ll go beyond memorising facts and work on understanding concepts properly, breaking down tricky topics into clear, manageable steps. Every lesson is tailored to your needs. If you’re revising for GCSEs or A-Levels, we’ll use past papers and proven strategies to boost your grades. If you’re at university, I’ll help you develop the deeper understanding and critical thinking skills needed for higher-level exams and assignments. My aim is always to make Science more approachable, less stressful, and more successful for you

Jordan is engaging, patient & passionate about tutoring. He ensures my daughter understands her subject by encouraging her to actively recall what she has learnt through repetition and doing exam questions. She looks forward to every lesson, her confidence is beginning to grow & he is helping her to believe in herself to achieve the success she needs after some personal challenges & disruptions in schooling over the last 2 yrs. Jordan has gained a wealth of scientific knowledge throughout his own career, it is a privilege that he is able to share his experiences with the next generation through his tuition.
