About Rishi
I trained as an actor to propel myself into the industry and to gain confidence in myself. My day-to-day work involves working with young people and adults to engage them in the arts, theatre, and performance, with a special interest in new writing, Shakespeare, and characterisation. As an actor, I have been lucky enough to work across TV, film, and theatre, learning from some of the best in the game. This has only helped bolster my practice, and has given me a toolkit with which I use to teach. I also write and perform poetry. I encourage students to focus on their strengths, interests, and hobbies. I aim to provide a holistic play-based acting methodology to help them reach their goals, and get to know students to gauge what their specific areas of interests are, as well as acknowledging every student has their own learning style.

Every student I work with will be at a different point in their journey. For me, who you are is the most important starting point! I am an acting graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and have worked as an actor in television, film, and theatre for the past 5 years. As a facilitator and educator, I work for organisations such as the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain and Shakespeare's Globe. My approach is to find out about what is important to you, and am a true believer that building confidence, as well as honing technical skills, is the way to achieve those goals. A typical class with me would involve checking in with how you are, and your progress. We would then work comprehensively and in detail towards your targets, using acting methodology, games, and exercises to help free you as an actor. I will always leave space for questions, and self-reflection. I am an experienced A-level and GCSE drama tutor, and am familiar with various specifications and course requirements. I also love coaching for LAMDA examinations, drama school auditions, or any other acting request! I have a 1st Class Honours degree in law from the University of Warwick, and a Master's degree in acting from RCS.
