I will never forget my first test with her. It didn’t go well because I couldn’t express myself in a way she could understand. Knowing my situation, she stayed 30 minutes after class to better understand my writing.

It is difficult to talk about Ms. Debs without being sentimental, as she was truly a special teacher. Having had the pleasure of being her student, I can confidently say she made a meaningful impact on my learning experience.

Even though I was not always highly motivated toward my studies, she consistently treated me with patience, respect, and encouragement. She never made me feel judged for asking questions and was always willing to explain concepts multiple times and in different ways, ensuring that all students could leave class without doubts, even in a large classroom. This approach helped me stay engaged and genuinely interested in the subject.

Her ability to create a supportive and welcoming learning environment, combined with her vast knowledge and creative teaching methods, makes her an excellent educator.

Ms. Debs changed my life! I had her as my middle school and HL IB biology teacher, and I have no words to describe how much she has done for me. She was also my EE coordinator, and I had the best time discussing ideas with her.

One of my most memorable memories in her class was my first day of HL bio, where we had a debate about the ethics of stem cell donation, which I still stand on today. She made me work smarter and knew I was capable of more. She was always pushing me to do my best, even at times I thought I couldn't do it, she knew I was capable of it.

She was so special in my high school career that one of the reasons I didn't give up on medical school was her. She knew I could do it and made sure I knew that. I'm now in my third year of med school, and it's all because of her!

I, honestly, feel like she was more than just a teacher to my peers and me; she was someone we could count on no matter what. She is an excellent teacher, and anybody would be lucky to have her on their teacher portfolio.

Ms. Debbie makes learning fun. In high school, I always looked forward to her class because she could turn even “boring” topics into the highlight of my day.
