About Aída
I graduated in Translation and Interpreting in Universidad Complutense de Madrid and I started teaching English and French while I still was a graduate student in 2006 both one-to-one lessons and groups in academies. After years as a translator, I resumed classes especially in schools, like English Connection. I spent two years working in a center and, later, I gave private lessons again, so now I follow, all while I carry out my translator and administrative tasks. I have successfully trained students for the PET and FCE, taking one of my former students an honorable mention in the review of PET. And most of my other students have passed their school tests and the University Entrance Exam without problems. I have given English classes from a single student groups up to 15 students.

I teach children between 6 and 18 years and also adults, from the basic level to the B2 included. I give support to students from schools, high schools and colleges and prepare them for their tests and for TOEIC and Cambridge exams. I give the student the teaching materials based on books, papers, articles and exercises downloaded from the Internet, from my books or done by myself. During lessons, I develop the basic skills with students: speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar, with particular emphasis on conversation, as it is what usually gives more problems and what, after all, languages are for: verbal communication. Among this material I include, in addition to documents, photographs and images to chat or write essays, audio or songs to improve English listening, games with board, dice or cards, like Taboo or game of the Goose, for example, with verbs, etc. I often deal with cultural or social issues: music, news, movies, sports ...
