About Michelle
I have a background in English and Philosophy, five years of tutoring experience, and a strong academic foundation that allows me to teach my students to think CRITICALLY! I understand the preparation, discipline, and strategies necessary to achieve competitive scores.
My studies in English and Philosophy helped me develop strong analytical reasoning, critical thinking, reading comprehension, and writing skills, all of which are essential for success on the SAT, ACT, and GED.
I believe that successful test preparation goes beyond memorizing information, it’s about developing confidence, strengthening problem-solving abilities, and learning how to approach exams strategically.
I’m patient, enthusiastic, and committed to adapting my teaching methods to each student’s individual needs.

My SAT, ACT, and GED preparation lessons are designed to help students approach their exams with confidence, strong study habits, and effective test-taking strategies. I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor each lesson to their individual strengths, challenges, and academic goals.
My approach begins with identifying areas for improvement and developing a personalized study plan. Lessons may include practice exams, reading comprehension, grammar, essay writing, mathematical reasoning, time management, and strategies for approaching challenging questions.
I strive to create an encouraging, patient, and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building their skills at their own pace. Whether you’re looking to improve your test scores, strengthen your academic foundations, or prepare for college admissions, my goal is to make the process manageable, productive, and rewarding.

Truly the best! She is a wonderful person AND a wonderful teacher!
I had tried Duolingo and Rosetta Stone for years, nothing ever stuck. That was until I met Michelle! Her lessons and kind guidance helped get me on the right track and feeling confident in my Italian! Absolutely could not recommend anyone more.
Michelle is one of the most talented people I know capable of making any topic interesting to any person. She has a vast array of knowledge from history to musical theatre to popular culture, which she passed along to me as academic peers at university together. She tackles every new challenge with excitement and puts her all into everything she does. She is always relatable and able to connect with the students on a human level. I highly recommend her to anyone I know!
Michelle was super patient and kind! I learned Italian proficiently and quickly. She’s a great teacher and knows how to adapt to different learning styles. I now feel comfortable for my move in December to Milan!
