About Rebecca
I am currently a Bachelor of Law and Commerce student and have five years of tutoring experience working with students across a range of levels including prep, primary, high school and university level. I have tutored rurally as a volunteer for 2 years and worked on an executive team for the education division to organize resources for students studying mathematics, science and focus on engagement within classes. I have also been able to help write for Elucidate; a volunteering organization that has allowed me to publish supplementary tutoring materials.
This experience has allowed me to develop effective techniques to support different learning styles and help students build confidence in their academic abilities. I have a deep love for learning and enjoy teaching particularly English.

With tutoring English, it is often easy for strong writers to misinterpret questions and become stuck with how exactly to study English. My approach during sessions ensures a focus on study habits and skills while also honing in on key concepts used in the Australian curriculum.
The aim is to have students study strongly and capably through maintaining strong writing, analytical thinking, and implementing effective study habits so they can approach the subject with confidence. Lessons are structured to break down complex skills such as essay writing, text analysis, and argument development into clear, manageable steps. I teach students how to plan essays, structure arguments, analyze texts deeply, and study efficiently, rather than simply memorizing essays and creative pieces.
My lessons cater specifically to primary and high school students, particularly those who want to improve their essay writing, comprehension, literary analysis, and exam preparation skills. Lessons typically last for 45-60 minutes however, may go a couple of minutes over depending on the level of content to be covered within classes.
