About Élica
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences from the State University of Santa Cruz (UESC) and a postgraduate student in Teaching Methodology in Biological Sciences from Uniassselvi. I did an exchange in Australia for Science without Borders during my graduation, where I studied English for a year at Curtin University, and I did a semester of my biology course at the same university. I have been teaching private English since 2016, and at the moment I have just started a small English school where I teach private classes or classes in my city (Teixeira de Freitas). My teaching method is by Intuition. That is, I do not translate my classes so that my students are induced to think in English. All definitions of vocabularies, etc ... nothing is translated. But I bring a real context, so that my students, can interact with the English language helping them to reach fluency. I base my lessons on the Language Leader Person Longman books. They are English language books specifically for young people / adults, where a smart approach is taken to build the confidence and skills students need to succeed in academic study and use English in a globalized world. I also always use additional materials, such as videos, handouts, online exercises, depending on the content of the classes. With the objective of always dynamizing the student's learning. I approach the malaria in a free, personalized way, according to the reality of each student.
