I have a B. A. degree in English and J.D. and LL.M. degrees in law. My professional life provided me with extensive experience in legal writing and oral argument. As a lawyer, I had the good fortune of supervising and training numerous articling students. My teaching methodology varies according to the needs of the student. When teaching young prosecutors, I used instructor-based teaching which emphasized lectures. As students became more experienced my methodology focused on group discussion and situational simulation. Role-playing can also be an effective methodology in appropriate circumstances.
