I believe students learn best when maths feels clear, logical, and connected to real-world problem-solving. My teaching style is friendly, patient, and structured—I break concepts down step by step, check understanding often, and use simple examples before moving into exam-style questions. I also adapt to each student’s learning pace, whether they need more time building foundations or want to extend their skills for higher achievement.
A typical lesson runs for about 60 minutes, which gives us enough time to review homework, learn new concepts, practise together, and finish with targeted problem-solving. I also provide short follow-up questions or tips for independent study so students keep improving between sessions.
My qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) in Chemical Engineering and current study toward a Master of Engineering Management at the University of Auckland. This background gives me strong analytical skills and a deep, practical understanding of maths. I’ve supported students through structured mentoring, technical problem-solving, and explanation-based learning in both academic and professional settings.
