About Kalyani
I am an engineering graduate, and mathematics is the subject I keep coming back to first as a student who had to work at it, and later as the thing I used almost every single day through my degree.
I started tutoring while I was still in college, helping juniors and neighbors' children with their school math, and I enjoyed it far more than I expected. Watching the moment a concept finally clicks is genuinely satisfying, and it is why I kept doing it.
I teach patiently and without judgment. I remember what it feels like to stare at a sum with no idea where to begin, so I never rush a student past that point. I keep track of where each student struggles and shape the next class around it, and I am happy to give parents an honest update on progress.
I prepare before every class, I am punctual, and I take the commitment seriously.

My classes are for students in class 9 and 10 who want to stop memorizing steps and actually understand what they are doing. I teach online, one-to-one, so the pace is set by the student and not by a syllabus deadline.
A typical session runs for about an hour. We begin with a quick recap of the previous class and any homework doubts, then move to the day's topic, I explain the concept first with a simple, everyday example before we open the textbook. Next we solve a few problems together, and then I hand over the pen: the student works while I watch the thinking, not just the final answer. Each class ends with a short practice set to attempt before we meet again.
Coming from an engineering background, I have used this math daily, so I can always answer "where is this actually used?". I am also patient with repeated doubts asking the same question twice is never a problem in my class.
