About Jentina
I have been in the tutoring business for over 8 years, tutored my peers while I was still an aerospace engineering student at UCF myself, and have taken all general mathematics courses including calculus 1, 2, and 3, differential equations, and statistics. I have great references from both the professors and students. Engineering requires the practical application of the concepts taught in previously mentioned courses, so I have a very good understanding of what is important and why.

My approach is personalized to each student's learning style, but in general I use a visual approach by graphing, charting tables, writing out each step to finding solutions, while giving tips and tricks to help solve similar problems. From experience, I can explain why things are relevant to know for exams, future classes, and engineering degrees. Typically, I'll explain the topic first with examples, after which we'll practice corresponding exercises. I let the student try on their own while confirming each step for accuracy, and giving little hints or tips when needed. I am able to break down complicated topics into easier to understand concepts, and make the student grasp the material so they can apply it universally to any type of related problems. I help analyze word problems and show how to tackle those with general keyword and phrase recognition. I have a lot of experience and know which approaches yield the most success. I teach students who need help with (college) algebra, precalculus, and calculus 1. I also work with students to prep for high school exams, or students who want to work on assignments together etc.
