About DeAvyon

I'm studying languages at the University of Portsmouth because they are my greatest passion. I'm studying to become a translator/interpreter, however I'd like to tutor as well. I would like to teach now because I have the time, and the experience, and I'd love to share my joy of languages, and help to make language learning a positive experience for other people as well!

About the class

Lessons are typically an hour long, and I will assess the level of new students through a basic conversation. Lessons will consist of new content, as much speaking practice as possible in the target language, and polishing up on reading, listening and writing. Lessons will also provide opportunities for recap in order to keep the information fresh. I can teach Spanish from beginners up to intermediate.

DeAvyon has always been top of her class and puts in many hours of hard study to understand everything she has learned. She is able to translate this effectively into teaching others with a high degree of competence and patience. DeAvyon has also had previous tutoring experience, notably teaching English to children whilst on a year abroad in China. Additionally as part of her year abroad, she lived in Spain for 3 months where she was also teaching classes and giving tours to groups of students all in Spanish.
