About Kai
I am a passionate saxophone tutor with over 12 years of experience teaching college students. My teaching approach focuses on building a strong foundation in both technique and music theory, while keeping lessons fun and interactive. I believe that every student has a unique style, and I customise my lessons to suit individual learning preferences. I use a mix of classical exercises, modern jazz techniques, and real-life music examples to make learning practical and exciting.
I encourage students to explore improvisation, understand musical expressions, and develop confidence in performing. My lessons are designed to improve not only technical skills but also creativity and musicality. In addition to saxophone, I teach sight-reading, ensemble performance, ear training, and music theory. My aim is to nurture expressive, confident musicians with a lifelong love for music.
