  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

I teach Physics and Mathematics. My interest really began when I first discovered complex numbers in Math and Newton’s laws in Physics. I was amazed at how such ideas could explain and simplify the world around us. That curiosity pushed me to keep asking “why” and “how,” and step by step it turned into a passion. Today, I love sharing that same sense of wonder with my students, because I know how exciting it feels when something just clicks.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

The biggest motivation for me has been my elder brother. He has always guided me patiently and showed me that real learning happens when someone believes in you. I wanted to pass on that encouragement to others. Teaching became my way of doing so—helping students believe that they are capable of more than they think.
  • How does your work help society?

Teaching, to me, is not just about solving equations or memorizing formulas. It’s about building confidence, curiosity, and problem-solving skills. These qualities stay with students for life, no matter what career they choose. In a small way, I feel I’m helping create future thinkers and problem solvers who will contribute positively to society.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

As I said, my brother is my biggest role model. He has been someone who led by example—disciplined, humble, and always ready to help me understand difficult things. Watching him made me realize that teaching isn’t only about knowledge, it’s about patience and care. That’s exactly the spirit I try to bring into my classes.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

Outside of teaching, I love playing cricket, football, badminton, and chess—they keep me active and sharpen my mind in different ways. Music is another big part of my life, especially Sufi and Qawwali, which inspire me and give me peace after a long day. I also enjoy travelling and exploring new places, as it gives me fresh perspectives.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

During my time volunteering to teach underprivileged students, I faced a challenge—some of them struggled to cope because the books were in English. To truly connect with them, I studied the NCERTs in Hindi myself so I could explain things in the language they were most comfortable with. It was a powerful experience for me, because I realized that teaching isn’t about showing how much I know—it’s about making sure the student feels included, understood, and capable.
