About Sam
Hey, I am Sam! I am a 20-year-old, final-year undergraduate student studying Chemistry with biomedicine at King's College London. I am very passionate about chemistry, which is highly exciting and interesting! I am particularly interested in physical and theoretical chemistry, especially in molecular modelling for novel materials design. I am also an undergraduate research fellow at my college, where I have undertaken a summer fellowship in using broadband rotational spectroscopy to characterise various molecular atmospheric species! I enjoy writing about frontier applications in chemistry and biochemistry-related topics in my college's STEM magazine "ScienceMind". I will always try to enrich my students understanding by making them see the beauty of chemistry and, if they are curious, tell them about some of the current projects I am participating in!

My approach to chemistry tutoring is to inspire and empower my students to become confident and independent learners. Everyone has the ability to understand and excel in chemistry, and it's my job as a tutor to help them unlock their full potential. My tutoring sessions are interactive and engaging, designed to encourage students to ask questions, explore ideas, and make connections between different concepts. The session lasts 60 mins, and the lesson is aimed to illustrate concepts by solving questions, brainstorming and more! I use real-world examples and analogies to make abstract concepts more concrete and relatable, helping students understand chemistry's relevance in their daily lives. It takes time to master the various concepts that chemistry introduces. However, I believe that anyone can achieve excellent results with dedication and practice!
