About Joy
My name is Joy and I love to teach. I have been part-time tutoring since the age of 13. I am an approachable and patient individual who wants my students to achieve the best that they can. I believe that everyone has the capability to excel. Not only do I believe lessons should be focused but they should also be interactive. Knowing my students truly, is one of my greatest goals and in doing so I’ll be able to specifically cater each lesson towards each individual perfectly.

My aim is to ensure that my students understand the reasoning behind a concept instead of just focusing on getting the right answer. I aim to teach for about 1-2 hours per lesson to ensure that I am dedicated to my student and their understanding. I passed all 4 of my 11+ examinations with flying colours. Achieved 10 grade 7-9s in my GCSEs with majority grade 9s. I also achieved 3 grade As in A-level Maths, Biology and Chemistry. My lessons will be focused on 9-16 year olds who are looking to excel in their 11+ examinations and GCSEs.
