About James
I am a current university student studying Law (LLB). I achieved a 2:1 in my second year and have been predicted to reach a first-class degree in my third and final year. I studied Law at AS and A-Level and achieved an A in both. My high grades are not just down to my hard work ethic but the way in which I study and revise which I plan to integrate into tutoring my clients.
As a result of the pandemic, I have had the benefit of sitting both in-person exams and online open-book exams. As a result, I have experienced first-hand what it is like to sit online exams and master an approach to see excellent results.

As a result of the pandemic, I have had the benefit of sitting both in person exams and online open book exams. As a result I have experience first hand what it is like to sit online exams and master an approach to see excellent results.
I take a visual approach to tutoring, using visual aids to help students process information. This includes using flow diagrams for helping to digest learning the law itself and pictures to help aid with learning case law.
I plan to teach the law in stages instead of treating it like one big area which helps students digest the law bit by bit. This helps students recall information better when sitting exams as they remember the law in a smooth timeline, which they can go through and tick off in order.
I also have mastered the skill of critical analysis, a key skill which is needed for achieving high grades in essay questions as opposed to practical questions on the law. In A-Level, using these skills successfully will make a student really stand out from the crowed in the classroom as the skills in rarely taught in school. At degree level, critical analysis is detrimental to achieve a grade higher than a 2:2 in assignment and essay questions. Again, the term critical analysis is often thrown around but rarely taught and understood.
After teaching the content of the Law, I plan on going through past paper questions with students so they can apply what they have learned into a real life scenario.
