About Jayde
Hi! My name is Jayde, and I am currently studying to get my B.Mus in music. My main instrument is Bass Guitar, but I also play upright bass in a jazz ensemble in university. I love to share my knowledge with people, and love to see musicians improve in their ability. I love to see bass players unique styles, and to see how their personality projects through their playing. Whether you're full of confidence and ready to get on stage and show the crowd who you are, or if you're a little on the quieter side, like me, and like to lay down a good bass line, I'm super keen to help you improve in your ability and get your groove on!

I see teaching as an experience where both the teacher and student are able to connect and learn from each other. My approach to teaching is not to transform a students musical ability to be the same as someone else's, but to target your own unique style and focus on what makes you a great musician! Typically my lessons last from 30mins to 1hr, depending on your preferences. I have had experience teaching double bass and bass guitar in 2020, and am currently in my first year (2021) studying a Bachelor of Jazz and Popular music, so I have experience on both ends of being a teacher and student. My lessons are for all ages, and are for people anywhere from beginner to intermediate!
