About Brendan
I am currently studying on the no.2 world-ranked Behavioural Economics masters programme at the University of Nottingham, before this I achieved A*A*A at A level in Mathematics, Economics and Chemistry and an A in AS Further Mathematics. I have 2 years experience tutoring Maths and English to 7 children aged 7-15. In addition to this, I spent a summer teaching at a US summer camp where I tutored a child with selective mutism reading.

My teaching method is to be as active and adaptable as possible. I try to emphasis applying what is being taught by utilising practice questions both for re-enforcing what has been learnt and identifying what needs to be worked on. I try to make the learning element as interactive and fun as possible, often turning it into a game or puzzle.
All of this is completely adaptable. Before any teaching begins, I will have a conversation with you or who you are reading this on behalf of about how to best tailor these lessons to each individual child free of charge. This can be anything from the teaching style and the format of the practice questions to ensuring all examples use the students favourite football team to keep them engaged in the lesson; if it will make these sessions better for you I am all ears.

Any commute under 30 minutes total I will only charge the cost of travel itself (I don't have access to a car), then £3 for each additional half an hour.
Any lesson cancelled within 24 hours of its original start date will be charged at 50% of the cost.
