With respect to tutoring in maths (incl. Methods), chemistry (incl. 1st year level), and the biomedical sciences (incl. university level), I hope to provide a foundational understanding from which students can build their own learning. The style of the lesson is very flexible and may be governed by the tutees needs and areas of concern.
In terms of scientific writing, I can provide helpful tools to improving one's writing style or I can help with assessments (incl. editing).
Regarding postgraduate medicine entry assistance, I have an extensive understanding of the application process, the GAMSAT itself, and the interview process. I'm happy to provide insight and strategies for successful admissions to people planning to pursue this pathway. This includes, but is not limited to, helping people decide on their undergraduate degrees and the units they choose, providing general strategies to studying for the GAMSAT, tutoring S3 GAMSAT questions (excluding physics), and assisting with portfolio writing.
With interview preparation, I can offer a general framework to approach questions with, identify useful experiences which may be mentioned when answering questions, and help people communicate answers more concisely and effectively. I can also offer stationed simulations of the medical interview, to which I'll provide feedback.
These lessons can be 60 minutes, or 120 minutes, depending on availability.
