About Tyler
I lived in Maryland for basically my whole life until a couple years ago when I moved to Florida to attend UCF and study Information Technology. I'm new to formal tutoring, but I've always enjoyed helping classmates of myself and my younger sister when it comes to understanding tricky math concepts. My goal is to make math less intimidating and more approachable. I create a patient, encouraging learning environment where you're free to ask questions and build your understanding at your own pace. Even though I'm still growing as a tutor, I bring fresh and relatable strategies that have helped me and others succeed in math.

Hi I'm Tyler, just a guy who loves helping students gain confidence in their own abilities while enhancing their understanding of math.
I believe that understanding the "why" behind math concepts is key. My tutoring sessions are very interactive and emphasize conceptual understanding. For myself, I found some of math jargon to throw me off, so when I teach it's always in plain english.
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I'm still in college, so a lot of the material is very fresh in my mind as I've recently taken some of these same courses. Also, I tailor my lessons to each student's unique learning style, making sure the pace fits your needs.
My lessons are ideal for high school and college students in math courses that lead up to calculus. But all are welcome if you're looking to strengthen your math foundation!
