About Axelle
I am a creative and pedagogical French instructor with experience teaching children and beginner learners through private tutoring and summer camp programs. Currently enrolled in the Preparatory Year of the Bachelor of Business Administration at HEC Montréal, I am passionate about education and helping students build confidence in French.
I have worked as a French teacher, private tutor, and summer camp counselor with English-speaking children of different ages and levels. My teaching style is structured, interactive, and engaging, combining rigor with fun activities to support progress in speaking, writing, listening, and reading comprehension.
One of my most effective experiences was a private tutoring session where I created a restaurant simulation with a printed menu, helping students practice real-life French conversation in a fun and immersive way.

For example, in one private tutoring session, I taught students how to order food in a formal French restaurant setting. I created a realistic experience by printing a custom menu so they could practice speaking and responding as if they were in a real restaurant.
