About Zaynah
Hello! I am a recent college grad from Emory University. While I was in school, I minored in Mathematics, so I am prepared to help you in a wide range of math subjects. I will be working for a healthcare consulting company as an a consultant. I previously tutored with a different company called Grade Potential, focusing on SAT material and writing skills. Throughout high school and college, I took a variety of math classes including: Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus. In terms of scores, I received a 5 on the AP Calculus AB exam and a 750 on the SAT Math section. Through college, I've taken many advanced math classes that have required me to constantly review and understand the many principles of math that are often covered in high school. These classes include: Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Multivariable Calculus, Abstract Math. With my educational background I believe I'd be an effective math tutor, and I look forward to helping you!

I can provide tutoring services for a variety of math subjects, ranging between middle and high school. My tutoring approach depends on the class structure in which the student in. I often gauge how the teacher styles lessons, and tests his or her students. With that information, I can direct my tutoring sessions to complement the goals of the teacher and help the student exceed. I begin my tutoring sessions with covering the concepts of the main topic and any essential information the student needs to comprehend that section/unit. Depending on the kind of material the student has, I can either cover the practice that is provided or create my own practice questions to ensure that the student understands the concept. Overall I rely on communication, so if a method isn't working for the student I greatly appreciate the constructive criticism. That helps me become a better tutor for you, especially since I am a resource to help you succeed.

Details
If a tutoring session has been cancelled at least 24 hours before, I will not charge for the session. If the cancellation notice is not given before then or the student fails to attend the session, then he or she must pay for half of the session. If a student is late for a session, then I am not required to add extra time to the current or following session.
