About Henry
I have experience as a robotics camp counselor for young children working with block programming, and I bring the same patience, organization, and support to older learners.
I also taught teenage members of a competition robotics team basic Java, and am a Computer Science student who excels in programming and firsthand realized that instead of taking an introductory programming course all I needed was a refresher in certain areas after a busy summer!
I've worked with students of all ages, and know how programming can be frustrating, and will work with you so that you'll finish being ready to tackle what programs come your way!

The best way to learn is through doing! Whether you're bringing a piece of coding homework you're struggling with, or picking up a new programming language for the first time, I can help you learn the necessary coding skills and techniques to be a proficient programmer!
A typical lesson will focus on either work the student brings and needs assistance with, or if learning for the first time, building up on concepts and aspects of the programming language of topic, working on one big project!
These lessons can be beneficial as a refresher, so you don't have to take introductory CS courses in university (like CSCI 1105), or are learning Java, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, or Python for the first time. I also provide assignment and debugging help, explain concepts, and do practicum prep practice.
At the end of our lessons you should hopefully have the confidence to start creating your own projects, be ready to tackle academic programming work, and recognize similarities between all coding languages!
