I am a Computer Science student at Allegheny College. I have been coding for upwards of six years and my primary language has been Java. I have been helping to assist in Allegheny's CMPSC100 course (which teaches Java and Java syntax).

My teaching methodology is to teach basic syntax of code first (by screen sharing and having students type code as I type it). As classes progress, topics become a bit more challenging. Students can expect to learn coding by typing it themselves and also receive bugged/buggy code and attempt to fix it. I try to accommodate students and their learning needs and wants insofar as it does not deter from the course structure.
