About Aline

Hello! My name is Shimirwa Aline Valerie, and I'm a Computer Science lecturer and programming tutor.

If you're a beginner struggling with programming, or you're a university student finding C, Python, or Data Structures and Algorithms difficult, I'd be happy to help you.

I believe programming shouldn't be about memorizing code. My goal is to help you understand how to think like a programmer and solve problems step by step.

In my lessons, I explain concepts clearly, work through examples with you, and then give you practical exercises so that you can build confidence by actually writing code yourself.

I can help you with C programming, Python, Data Structures and Algorithms, programming fundamentals, algorithms, pseudocode, flowcharts, and problem solving.

Whether you're starting from zero, preparing for an exam, or simply want to become better at programming, I'll adapt our lessons to your current level and your goals.

You don't have to be perfect, and you don't have to be afraid of making mistakes. Mistakes are part of learning to program.

Hello! I’m Shimirwa Aline Valerie, a Computer Science lecturer and passionate programming educator.

If you are struggling with programming, feeling overwhelmed by code, or simply don't know where to start, you're in the right place.

I teach C Programming, Python Programming, and Data Structures & Algorithms in a clear, practical, and beginner-friendly way. My goal is not just to give you code to memorize, but to help you understand why the code works and how to solve problems on your own.

As a university lecturer, I have experience explaining computer science concepts to students with different levels of knowledge. I understand that programming can feel difficult at first, so I break complex concepts into small, understandable steps and give you plenty of opportunities to practise.

My teaching approach

I believe that you learn programming by programming.

Our lessons will therefore be practical and interactive. Depending on your goals and level, a typical lesson may include:

1. Understand — I explain the concept simply and clearly.

2. See it — We work through examples together.

3. Practise — You solve problems with my guidance.

4. Correct — We examine mistakes and understand why they happened.

5. Apply — You use what you learned in a practical exercise or mini-project.

I encourage questions and I don't expect you to understand everything immediately. If something is difficult, we slow down, approach it differently, and keep working until it makes sense.
