About Matthew
I completed my computer science degree in 2015 and have since been involved with various teaching roles. Firstly, tutoring game development to children and teenagers in America. Then, teaching English to children in Madrid and finally, business and life skills tuition in Kenya, whilst volunteering. After one summer of teaching in America, I was promoted to Technology Director to train and supervise that year's counsellors to tutor the camp-goers.
I have a wide range of experience and have enjoyed tutoring people of all ages and backgrounds.

I like to teach via the Socratic Method pedagogy. This involves asking questions to encourage the formulation of answers as the true learning outcome. This is especially important in the subjects I wish to teach as concepts shouldn't just be remembered but understood to provide a solid foundation for future modules. Furthermore, the feeling of reaching the answer through one's own thinking is both rewarding and boosts confidence.
I believe we all learn in different ways. Through patience and perseverance, we can achieve whichever learning outcomes you want.
