About Cristina
What I'd say about myself is that I'm caring, creative and patient. I love to help anyone around me and I get the utmost satisfaction just knowing that I might be the reason that someone understands a topic or feels like they've got a handle on the material they didn't feel the same way about before. After completing my first year doing two degrees at two very prestigious universities I am very familiar with the feeling of not understanding and feeling behind. I have done multiple business presentations and computer science assignments, as well as a bilingual (french) International Baccalaureate diploma beforehand in high school. They have definitely tested my limits and my capabilities as far as knowledge and learning goes. I can only hope to use my knowledge to help others too.

I like to teach each student based on their individual learning method since each one is different. A good starting point is to map out what the student knows already. Some prominent teaching techniques I employ are active recall through problem solving and when explaining material I like using visuals and real life examples that are relatable for the student. What sets me apart is that I have a lot of patience and I'm willing to create a connection with the student, devoted to making sure they not only memorize the material but that they understand and hold onto it for the future. The lessons are for anyone in high school as well as first year students in university/college.
