About Abigail

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics and 6 years in education (tutoring, small group instruction, and college class instruction). I’ve worked with all kinds of students, from those who needed just basic encouragement to those who needed advanced intervention.

About the class

I tutor mathematics, working specifically with Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus I and II. I enjoy working with Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus I the most because they work with some really fun application problems!
I believe that with education, anyone can do anything. As an educator, my goal is to empower students with knowledge so that they may succeed in every area of life. I tailor my approach to each student, focusing not just on solving problems but a deep understanding of the material. By the end of each session, my student will understand why we're doing what we're doing, how we're reasoning through the work, and how to approach it on their own.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by the students of Abigail.

Perfect! My daughter was really having trouble with math. Abby is able to tap into my daughter's artistic side and make math fun. She looks forward to each tutoring session and feels so much more confident when she has math tests. Since working with Abby, she's proud to show off her test and quizzes. Highly recommend Vega Math Tutoring!

Perfect! Doesn't mind explain the ins and outs of the different concepts in math, especially when explaining a particular problem. Very patient when working with you. Would definitely hire again :)
