About Britta

I’m Britta, and I’ve taught programming at a high school, a community college coding club and online. I earned my B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and hold the Python Institute PCAP certification. Before teaching, I worked as a software developer at a Green Bay logistics company, building Python tools for shipping reports. I’m proud of a ten-year-old who built a Scratch football game and an adult learner who made a scoreboard website for her son’s team. Students tell me I’m friendly, calm and make coding feel doable.

About the class

Tell me your age, what you’ve tried and what you’d like to build, and I’ll plan your first lesson around it. I teach Scratch for younger learners and Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and Java for older students, plus school classes, AP Computer Science and skills for work. Our signature project is the Game Day Stats Dashboard, where you enter scores and player numbers, let your program add them up and show them in a chart on a web page. Every lesson ends with an Exit Ticket of two quick questions, and the optional Friday Challenge is a small bug or puzzle to solve.
