About Rufina
Hello! I am a professional opera singer with a Bachelor's of Music from the University of Minnesota Duluth. I am currently working on my masters in performance at the University of Houston. I have placed in state and regional NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) competitions for the past three years as well as other local voice competitions. In 2018, I went live on TV for PBS's Celebration of Music talent competition which I was the winner of. I teach most of my students over zoom because it works best with my school/rehearsal schedule. I mainly work on classical and musical theater repertoire with my students. I look forward to meeting you!

Our singing voices are very personable. And that can make it hard to sing our best or be confident in ourselves... That's okay!
In our lessons, you are free to sing a wrong note, crack on a high note, or even try something new! These lessons are a safe space for you to grow and learn about your instrument.
Most lessons will consist of vocalizing, reading music, learning new repertoire, acting, and having a dialogue.
