About Callum
Hey, I’m a 20 year old student entering my second year of Chemistry at the University of Birmingham. I love my football and house music. I’m a very confident and talkative person with a strong level of understanding for all things numerical and analytical. That’s all well and good but my greatest strength lies in my ability to communicate the ideas in maths and chemistry in a way that sits right inside your head. I am knowledgeable of all exam boards and make sure that in all my teaching, you are being taught not just what to say, but how to say it in order to get all the marks.
I know a lot of people can feel that the volume of work is overwhelming, and that’s because the textbooks give you more content than you need to know! I’ll make sure your workload is manageable and hopefully enjoyable!

My lessons focus on making difficult concepts simple and building confidence through practice. I first identify the areas a student is struggling with, explain the underlying concepts clearly, then work through examples before moving onto exam-style questions and past papers.
I study Chemistry at the University of Birmingham and achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Chemistry, Grade 8 in Physics, Grade 7 in Maths and a B in A-Level Chemistry. Having taken these exams relatively recently, I understand both the content and the exam technique students need.
Lessons are typically one hour and are tailored to the individual student. I tutor GCSE Maths and Chemistry and A-Level Chemistry, whether students are looking to strengthen difficult topics, improve exam technique or push towards the highest grades. I was once in the place of you and needed a tutor myself, I recognise that no one learns the same, so take comfort in that I will make sure the lesson fits exactly how you learn.
