About Pratistha
I’ve always found joy in helping others understand something they once found difficult — that “lightbulb moment” is incredibly rewarding. Teaching allows me to share my passion for science in a way that builds both knowledge and confidence. Having supported students for over three years, I’ve seen firsthand how much of a difference a supportive tutor can make. I aim to create a relaxed, friendly environment where students feel comfortable asking questions without fear of judgement. No two students are the same and neither are my lessons. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. My sessions are fully tailored to each student’s learning style, pace and goals. Whether a student is aiming for a pass or pushing for top grades, I focus on building a strong foundation first, then progressively boosting their confidence with structured challenges.
Each lesson starts with a quick check-in or recap to assess understanding and address any confusion from schoolwork or previous sessions. We then move into a carefully chosen topic, where I break down complex concepts into simple steps using visual aids, relatable examples and exam-style practice.
I constantly reinforce exam skills, not just content, by integrating mark scheme language, common pitfalls and revision strategies into each session. Students are encouraged to ask questions freely, with no fear of “sounding silly.” I’m known for being approachable, calm and easy to talk to, which helps students feel comfortable and supported throughout.
I'm also offering booster sessions over the summer – ideal for students looking to get a head start before the new school year in September. These sessions focus on previewing key topics, filling in gaps, and entering school feeling confident and prepared. Whether it's brushing up on Year 10 content before Year 11 or easing into A-level chemistry from GCSE combined science, I’ll help you feel ready from day one.
