- What kind of experience do you have? I am a Chemistry specialist to A level. I'm currently teaching in a Bedfordshire Upper School. I'm an Ex-head of Science and Head of Chemistry. Over the years I have done much one-to-one and small group private tuition for people who need bumping up to the highest grades for university or medicine, and for those struggling in some areas and just needing a pass. Over 35 years I have taught every conceivable syllabus both here and abroad. - Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate? Yes, as I am a serving UK teacher this is obligatory. - Tell me about some of your current students. I teach A level chemistry to year 9, 10, 11 and 12 and 13 sixth form students. I am currently coaching individuals who need top grades, who aspire to study chemistry and medicine next year. I also have Lower sixth students who are struggling with the transition to AS level from GCSE and who need help with the basics.

I currently teach in an Upper School and live in the village of Sharnbrook Bedfordshire. Arrangements for online tutoring. What you need: For face-to-face tuition: just yourself! For the online tuition: a broadband internet connection with computer or laptop with Skype installed, a webcam and a quiet spot in the house. Tutorials are usually 1 hour long and are all one-to-one. Dave Lock tutored me Chemistry AS and A2 levels whilst I was at sixth form. In the summer of year 12 I got an E and a C in the summer exams. I thought I wouldn't be able to get into uni but he helped me to achieve an A by year 13 which enabled me to get into vet school. I have now completed my third year at Royal Veterinary College and I am so grateful for his after school chemistry lessons. I honestly don't think I would be at uni today if it wasn't for him.I would definitely recommend Dave L
