About Matthew
In the past I've enjoyed mentoring potential Oxbridge Life Sciences applicants as part of state school outreach, working frequently with junior Air Cadets to teach them across the Air Cadet syllabus, and volunteering at a local special needs school. Although I'm relatively new to online tutoring, I've built up a considerable amount of teaching experience from the above and have always enjoyed explaining tricky topics to my friends and classmates. I've been lucky enough to have received compliments on my friendliness and clear teaching style, so I'm looking forward to teaching GCSE and A-Level students, and sharing my recent experiences with them!

I'm a Biological Sciences student, having just finished my first year at the University of Oxford. I'm passionate about teaching and working with promising students, having been engaged in state school outreach work for my college at Oxford. I also enjoyed teaching applied physics lessons as an Air Cadet, and volunteered at a special needs school while at sixth form.
My favourite subject is, of course, Biology, especially ecology and zoology, but I loved studying Chemistry, German and Maths (specialising in Statistics) at A Level too.
I'm a patient, chatty and enthusiastic tutor, and I believe that getting students excited about their subject, with questions and real-life examples, is the key way to ensure they retain their knowledge and excel in exams. With recent experience of A Level and GCSE revision, I can relate to where gaps in school education can need consolidation and extra teaching. I'm looking forward to sharing my experience and knowledge with you, so that you can get the results you need.
