About Anasia
A little bit about me! First off, thank you for exploring my website and wanting to get to know me a little bit better.
I currently reside in Oceanside and grew up in Carlsbad here in California.
I went to San Marcos High School and California State University of San Marcos to study Arts, Media, Design and business.
I grew up as a swimmer, I started very young at the age of 3 and quickly learned that this was something I was meant to do! I joined North Coast Aquatics where I swam competitively until I was 17, and competed in a Junior Olympics in 2013 in Coronado, CA.
How its going: I took my love for the water my experience in childcare and became a Water Safety Instructor to teach swim lessons which opened my eyes more generally, to lifeguarding and drowning prevention. I started with the City of San Marcos in 2018 as a Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard then made my way up to Aquatics Manager where I am currently working.
I manage two aquatics facilities with the City of San Marcos and take a lead on our trainings as well. Years of training and practice had lead me to obtain the necessary certifications to teach lifeguarding and Water Safety at the professional level.

My swim lessons on based on a logical progression, to assure the swimmer understand the fundamentals of swimming, safety in and around water, and technique before progressing onto more difficult skills. This method is incredibly successful in becoming water safe and learning how to swim. I have honed my style and method of teaching for 6+ years, and have seen amazing results in my swimmers. My goal for all of my swimmers is to ensure that you are safe in and around all bodies of water: Poolside, Beach, Lakes etc. I ensure that you and your child understand what it means to be water safe and how to incorporate that outside of our lessons together and how to incorporate that into real life situations.
REALITY: Focus on real life emergency situations to insure swimmer safety.
I focus on what to do in real life situations to insure being safe in the event they aren't able to get immediate help in an emergency situation.
