About Hae Jin

Hello and welcome! My name is Hae Jin.

Learning a new language is an exciting journey, but it can also feel vulnerable—whether you are an adult stepping into a high-stakes interview or a parent hoping your child will comfortably connect with family at home. My mission as your tutor is to provide a warm, encouraging, and dependable space where you feel completely supported from day one.

Legitimacy Grounded in Proven Experience:
I am a fully certified Korean language teacher with 5 years of dedicated classroom experience at a Korean language school. Teaching is not a hobby for me; it is a discipline grounded in professional pedagogy. Over the years, I have guided countless young learners and adults through their individual language plateaus, helping them develop genuine fluency, cultural intuition, and lasting self-confidence.

The Precision of a Broadcast Professional:
Alongside my teaching career, I worked professionally as a news anchor and journalist. This background gives our lessons an edge that standard textbooks simply cannot offer:
-Flawless Pronunciation & Cadence: You will master clean articulation, natural intonation, and authentic rhythm directly from a broadcast professional.
-Executive-Level Business & Interview Prep: For career-driven learners, I teach the nuanced vocabulary, corporate etiquette, and persuasive speaking strategies essential for acing Korean job interviews and boardroom meetings.

A Bridge for Family and Heritage:
For young learners and heritage families, I understand how deeply language connects to heart and identity. I specialize in helping children and youth speak natural, respectful Korean so they can share their daily thoughts, express love, and laugh freely around the family table with their parents and grandparents.

Every learner’s path is unique. I listen closely to your personal aspirations, adapt to your pace, and celebrate every milestone with you. Let’s build your confidence and make speaking Korean feel natural, empowering, and joyful.

I look forward to meeting you in our first lesson!

Hello! My name is Hae Jin. I am a certified Korean language teacher with 5 years of classroom experience at a Korean language school, combined with a professional background as a news anchor and journalist.

My goal is to make Korean practical, emotionally resonant, and empowering—whether that means helping a child connect with their parents at home or coaching a professional to ace a career-defining job interview.

1. Teaching Methodology & Techniques
-Contextual & Communicative Immersion: Rather than memorizing isolated grammar points, students learn language within authentic scenarios—family dining tables, playground interactions, corporate meetings, and media interviews.
-Broadcaster-Trained Pronunciation Coaching: Leveraging my news anchor background, I provide systematic training in vocal delivery, accurate articulation, and authentic intonation, eliminating unnatural cadence and hesitation.
-Warm, Student-Centered Scaffolding: Informed by five years of classroom teaching, I design gradual, step-by-step progressions tailored to each student’s emotional comfort, learning style, and specific goals.
-Interactive Multimodal Materials:Lessons incorporate visual prompts, short news clips, storytelling, and structured speaking drills, reinforced by personalized feedback notes after every session.

2. Lesson Plan (50–60 Minutes)
Every lesson is structured yet adaptable, typically following this four-stage framework:
1) Warm-Up & Spoken Review (10 mins):
Informal check-in to review prior concepts and practice spontaneous daily conversation, targeting real-life experiences since the last session.
2) Core Concept & Pronunciation Focus (15 mins):
Introduction of today's key linguistic structure, cultural nuance, or business expression, paired with vocal drills for precise delivery and rhythm.
3) Interactive Guided Practice (20 mins):
Active role-playing based on the learner’s target context:
-For Children: Interactive games, storytelling, and practicing real-life dialogues to use with parents.
-For Professionals: Mock business meetings, presentation walkthroughs, or simulated interview Q&As.
4) Wrap-Up & Personalized Action Plan (5–10 mins):
Review of key vocabulary, immediate constructive feedback, and clear, manageable practice tasks for the week.

3. Who the Lessons Are For
-Children & Youth (Ages 6–16 / Beginners to Intermediate):
Heritage learners and children in multicultural households who want to speak naturally with their parents, understand family traditions, and feel proud of their Korean roots.
-Adult Career Professionals & Job Applicants (Intermediate to Advanced):
Learners preparing for Korean corporate job interviews, executive meetings, workplace presentations, or professional business certification.
-General Adult Learners (All Levels):
Anyone seeking clear pronunciation, natural conversational cadence, and authentic understanding of contemporary Korean society and culture.
